The population of Australia in the 2006 census was 19,855,288. In 2006, an estimated 1,124,250 people lived within the boundaries of NSCCAHS (Joint Select Committee into RNSH). Based on these data, the institution in the major tertiary referral hospital for  more than 1:20 (1:17.6) of the Australian population. In addition it is a statewide referral service for burns and spinal injuries. The elective representatives therefore include a number of federal, state and local government electorates. There role in supporting this important community resource can not be underestimated. Please spend the time to either see them in person or write them a letter.
